TTLH Hope's Story...
By 1Timestones 2012
The Guardians on the "Otherside" rang from their appearances. Sometimes, they cam take the appearance of a mortal. What their mortal appearance is depends on who sees them and when.
It's legended that's what a Forerunner is, but they only come around ever so often. Like when something major has just happened, or will happen. They live a mortal life. Velden's Forerunner of this time-line let's say. He was named Hope. He's very much a loner. He never really spent time with others or in his tribal camp. Sorantae. He'd normally be seen running round doing various things. Some of which, are forbidden.
Throughout Hope's life, he was alone ninety percent of the time. He however, did have one close friend, Vace. His friendship with Vace was unique. They didn't spend much time around another, but they'd always be available if one need the help of the other. Their friendship was indeed strong, but it was forever changed when Vace was killed. At first, it was believed to be an accident, but revealed as something else later. Vace's twin brother, Nolan, was heavily affected by this, and he no longer trusts anyone. Hope shares Nolan's pain. Hope himself thought Vace as his own brother. He and Nolan talk ever so often, and are a lot alike. They are now friends, but like Hope was with Vace.
Hope was captured by the Empire. He's uncertain on how long he was there. He claims he doesn't remember any of it, excluding the first two days he was there. Hope fought and killed Titan, one of the most dangerous bounty hunters, except for a she-cougar named Saffir. Hope collapsed after the fight with Titan, and awoke on Peace Island. He says he met his mother in a dream shortly before he woke up from his sleep.
Hope traveled home, only to learn Vace was killed. Then, he hears that Nolan has disappeared. Aeron, the father of Vace and Nolan, and Hope leave in search for Nolan. This left Griffen in charge of Sorantae Camp1. They did find Nolan, but way far out of known territory, and quickly realize he knows something. It took a month for Nolan to calm down enough to talk about what he knew. A bounty hunter is who killed Vace, not a weaving accident. This bounty hunter had to be someone who was clever at eliminating a target. Hope knew too well on who it was, Titan. Titan's whereabouts are unknown as of now.
Soon afterwards, Hope learns he is Velden's Forerunner. Velden's Forerunner lives among the Sorantae, but his mother originated from Velden. Hope's purpose as a Forerunner is to prevent the tribes from turning on another, and to keep the Empire intact. He was and is unsure on how to respond to this. Though, he'll do his best on his purpose.
"Hey! Aren't you named Hope!?" a young cub questioned, "but go by Umber?"
"I see someone payed attention," Hope replied, "there's more, but you need to be apprentices first."
"Need to be apprentices for what?" Aeron's voice said as he appeared from the darkness of the thickets and sat down.
"Life of a Forerunner," Hope explained.
"I have a question, Umber," Aeron claimed," if your duty is to keep the Empire intact, then what are you going to do when we attack them? You know that's soon, right?"
"..." Hope shrugged his shoulders," guess we'll know when it happens," he looked up at the sky," because I'm clueless. I don't believe we will dismantle them. So, I don't see harm."
